Platinum vs Venture X
By Quy Dinh · Updated Oct 24, 2026
The short answer
The Venture X for most people: lounge access for the cardholder, 2x on everything, and credits that cover the $395 fee with little effort. The Platinum gets you into more lounges, including Centurion Lounges and Delta Sky Clubs, and adds hotel status and many more credits, but at $895 it only works if you’d use most of them.
Pick the Platinum if
- You want the widest lounge access, including Delta Sky Clubs
- You’d use the hotel, Uber, streaming and lifestyle credits
- You want Marriott and Hilton Gold status
Pick the Venture X if
- You want the fee covered without tracking many credits
- You want 2x on everyday spending
- Capital One Lounges and Priority Pass are enough for you
